What is the Wingham Akoostik Music Festival?
The Akoostik Festival is here to provide, improve and promote arts activities and opportunities in the Manning Valley. We aim to stimulate community involvement in the arts and enhance the arts profile of this regional area. We plan to deliver a sustainable artistic experience that benefits the community culturally and raises social wellbeing.
The Wingham Akoostik Festival presents local and touring artists playing diverse musical styles. A mix of well-known Australian icons have performed on the Akoostik stages. Previous festival guest artists include Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, James Reyne , Rick Price , Backsliders , Grace Knight, Bill Chambers, Deborah Conway, Doc Neeson, Richard Clapton, Wendy Matthews, Phil Jamieson, Kevin Bennett, Arabesk, Felicity Urquhart, Jigzag, Sara Tindley, Kevin Bennett and The Flood, Shane Howard, Afro Moses, Siskin River and Smokin’ Joe Robinson plus hundreds of other regional touring artists.
Wingham Akoostik Festival is a community based, volunteer powered event auspiced by Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services INC. The festival is a family friendly event! The live entertainment and workshop activities cater for all ages and interests.

What are the Times for entry on the three days
Gates open at 9am. Campers can stay 24 hours of course.
Can I buy a ticket on the day?
Yes but there are early bird savings of over 10% for tickets bought online or at the above locations.

How do I get there?
Wingham is found on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, about three and a half hours’ drive north of Sydney and only 10 minutes’ drive from the Pacific Highway.

Where is the Camp ground?
Your camping site is on the showground so no need to drive, you will be right on site in the midst of the festival atmosphere
Is it an all ages event?
Yes, it is an all ages event. Children 12 and under are FREE . Gates open at 9:00am both days.
Can I purchase alcohol at the Wingham Akoostik Music Festival?
Yes, Alcohol will be available for purchase at the festival
Can I camp overnight?
YES, we will be providing camping on site at the Wingham Showground. there is an additional fee for Camping on site which can be paid at the time of ticket purchase
Where can I stay?
There is a wide range of accommodation available in the Manning Valley, including a number of pubs, guesthouses, and motels very close to the showground. Have a look at our Where To Stay page for suggestions or follow accommodation.info
Can I catch a train to the event?
Yes the XPT Countrylink service stops at Wingham train station. Less than one kilometre from the Showground. https://transportnsw.info/regional

It’s about one and a half hours’ drive.
Is it far from Sydney?
It’s about three and a half hours’ drive.
Where is Wingham Showground?
The Wingham Showground is west of the town Centre, on Gloucester Road.
Can I leave the venue and come back in?
Yes. All attendees will receive a wrist band so they can come and go.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the venue.
Can I camp additional nights to the festival weekend?
Yes ! we would love to have you stay ! you can camp from the Wednesday night right through to the following Monday night if you wish. Sites will be available for booking very soon, keep updated on our facebook page.
Are there toilets and showers?
Yes the showground has toilets and showers for your use, your site fee includes access to these amenities.
