What is the Wingham Akoostik Music Festival?
The Akoostik Festival is here to provide, improve and promote arts, activities and opportunities in the Manning Valley. We aim to stimulate community involvement in the arts and enhance the arts profile of this regional area. We plan to deliver a sustainable artistic experience that benefits the community culturally and raises social wellbeing.
The Wingham Akoostik Festival presents local and touring artists playing diverse musical styles. A mix of well-known Australian icons have performed on the Akoostik stages. Previous festival guest artists include Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, Diesel, Kasey Chambers, Russell Morris, James Reyne , Rick Price , Backsliders , Grace Knight, Bill Chambers, Deborah Conway, Doc Neeson, Richard Clapton, Wendy Matthews, Phil Jamieson, Andrew Swift, Kevin Bennett, Arabesk, Felicity Urquhart, Jigzag, Sara Tindley, Kevin Bennett and The Flood, Shane Howard, Afro Moses, Siskin River and Smokin’ Joe Robinson plus hundreds of other regional touring artists.
Wingham Akoostik Festival is a community based, volunteer powered event , previously auspiced by Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services, and now its own incorporated entity. The festival is a family friendly event! The live entertainment and workshop activities cater for all ages and interests.

What are the times for entry on the three days?
Gates open at 9am. Campers can stay 24 hours of course.
Can I buy a ticket on the day?
Yes you can buy at the entry gates on the day.
However, you can save more than 10% on pre-purchased tickets available online or at the ticket outlet locations.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available from Bent on Life and on the gate at the Festival, or online at akoostik.oztix.com.au
When are tickets on sale?
Tickets will be available soon at akoostik.oztix.com.au
How do I get there?
Wingham is found on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, about three and a half hours’ drive north of Sydney and only 10 minutes’ drive from the Pacific Highway.

Where is the Camp ground?
Your camping site is on the showground at 1292 Gloucester Road Wingham , so no need to drive, you will be camping right on site in the midst of the festival atmosphere.
Is it an all ages event?
Yes, it is an all ages event. Children 12 and under are FREE . Gates open at 9:00am both days.
Can I purchase alcohol at the Wingham Akoostik Music Festival?
Yes, Alcohol will be available for purchase at the festival. We have a great selection of beers from our sponsor brewery Coopers, Ciders from sponsor The Apple Thief Cider and wines from sponsor Cassegrains. Our local sponsor Cellarbrations in Wingham assists with all supplies.
Can I camp overnight?
Where can I stay?
There is a wide range of accommodation available in the Manning Valley, including a number of pubs, guesthouses, and motels very close to the showground. Have a look at our Where To Stay page for suggestions or follow accommodation.info
Can I catch a train to the event?
Is it far from Newcastle?
It’s about two hours’ drive.
Is it far from Sydney?
It’s about three and a half hours’ drive.
Where is Wingham Showground?
Can I leave the venue and come back in?
Yes. All attendees will receive a wrist band so they can come and go.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the venue.
Can I camp additional nights to the festival weekend?
Yes ! we would love to have you stay ! you can camp from the Wednesday night right through to the following Monday night if you wish. Sites will be available for booking very soon, keep updated on our facebook page.
Are there toilets and showers?
Yes the showground has toilets and showers for your use, your site fee includes access to these amenities.
